I messed up TRX_PURREQ_026
RE: a remove operation on table "sy-current_activity" cannot find the table
Syed, if you have access to SQL Server Studio Manager, can you see the user name in the Dynamics..Activity table?
This is the table ( I believe ) in question and the one that when you perform the tasks you have listed is updated from with the Microsoft Dynamics GP application.
When you look into this table, if the user that is locked is still listed and you are sure that they are not logged into the system, you can use this window to remove them.
There are number of reasons why this might happen, but as SA there are few tables that you should not have access to - if any - and therefore it might have more to do with what the user system / id is leaving connected to SQL Server.
Keep posting and someone in the community will help solve the problem.
RE: Help! Red numbers for negatives showed up in my report
Deborah, when you export to Excel you are then under the control of the environmental settings of Excel and your local workstation.
It is possible that some time in the past two weeks that somewhere some one made a change in the computer environment setting or in Excel settings that 'requested' the negative numbers be shown as RED
Praveen provides a like to a discussion on how thsi is done and therefore how to undo the problem.
I do not believe that this is either a Microsoft Dynamics GP or FRx 6.7 problem - the data is correct, the problem is strictly in the presentation of the data.
Hope this helps, keep posting.
RE: a remove operation on table "sy-current_activity" cannot find the table
Thanks Bill,
But I try to kill the 'sa' from dynamics..activity I get 'Msg 208, Level 16, State 1, Line 3
Invalid object name 'SOC..CO00201'. and that is where I am stuck
RE: Report that shows which user ran bank reconciliation on checkbook?
Jason, in addition to seeing the details of the Transactions and Receipts as provided by Praveen, you might want to look at the Bank Reconciliation Header - CM20500 and the Modified User is listed here. This is the table that contains the details entered at the beginning of the creation of the Bank Reconciliation process.
Hope this helps. Keep posting.
RE: a remove operation on table "sy-current_activity" cannot find the table
What user are you logged into GP with?
What user permissions does that user have?
RE: Report that shows which user ran bank reconciliation on checkbook?
I am trying to figure out which fields are Current Balance/Last Reconciled Balance/Last Reconciled Date from these tables. Any ideas, PRaveen? Thanks!
RE: Help! Red numbers for negatives showed up in my report
Yes, Praveen instructions showed how to conditionally format.
Thanks for the input, It's really weird because it only does this for this one report. All of my other financials are all in black. I've had 2 other users run this report with the same results. Thanks again to you both.
RE: Help! Red numbers for negatives showed up in my report
Deborah, is it running that way directly from FRx?
So then I have to back track - if you and other users run 'only' this report and get this result, then there is something in this reports configuration that is causing this. Sorry, I had assumed that this was happening when you export to Excel. Should have asked first.
Anyway, best then to look at the various configuration options for the reports and see where it is different than the others.
Help! Red numbers for negatives showed up in my report
RE: a remove operation on table "sy-current_activity" cannot find the table
I am trying to login with 'sa' and see 'sa' stuck in ACTIVITY and giving me error messages
RE: Report that shows which user ran bank reconciliation on checkbook?
I did find most of the info there but still trying to figure out where to tie in the USER ID that ran reconciliation.
RE: Report that shows which user ran bank reconciliation on checkbook?
CM20200 table contains transaction detail
CM20300 table contains receipt transaction detail
CM20500 contains Statement Balance, any adjustment amounts
CM00100 contains all the checkbook ID, the balances and other data
So, there is no one answer to your question. Using Smartlist Builder or Designer ( depending on what you have installed ) will be the best way to combine the data from the two or three tables in order to answer the question as well as get the actual report.
If you want to know who did the Reconcile for Oct 1 - batch ID - OCT2016 then you can find that in the CM20500 but as soon as you also want to know the rest of these details, you have to start combining other tables.
Hope this helps.
Report that shows which user ran bank reconciliation on checkbook?
Under financials we have the checkbook navigation list which shows all checkbook , current balance, last date reconciled....I have a request to add column that shows user that ran the bank rec.
I am not sure which table this info would be stored in. I don't see user info in checkbook master table or other associated tables.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
RE: a remove operation on table "sy-current_activity" cannot find the table
If you log onto the application as SA and then attempt to remove SA from the Activity table, then go back to the Application you will encounter these 'weird errors'
Start by logging off of GP
Open SQL Server Studio Manager and open the Dynamics..Activity table.
Note if SA is still there - if so, ensure that there are no other users or sessions open under the SA user ID and then and only then, using SQL, remove that ID from the table.
Best practices with SSSM and changes to the database is to ensure that you have a good backup and understanding of what effect the adjustment in SQL will have to the application.
Hope this helps. Keep posting
RE: Void a scheduled payment in a closed year
Sorry out of the office yesterday.
The CM was on hold - you have removed the hold and now when you open Apply Payables Document - you are saying that the Scheduled Payment is not showing up?
When you look at the balance for the VENDOR what do you see?
RE: a remove operation on table "sy-current_activity" cannot find the table
Thanks for all your tips. I am completely out of GP and have no user logged in. Still SSMS I see the 'sa' user in activity and not able to remove it.
RE: Purchasing Module - error in accounts selected
oh... I see what you are saying... I will VOID the credit memo. After I have done that will that void the payment as well?
RE: Void a scheduled payment in a closed year
When I do a Payables Inquiry for Open transactions only, both the schedule and the cm show up.
RE: Turn off PO Encumbrance GP 2015
Richard I am guessing that you are way past the 'check box' on the Encumbrance Screen - Setup Purchase and beyond the Registration check box.
I have been luck enough to not have had to remove a feature like this in the recent past. I was just reading over the list of issues and I just want to stop in a say hello but I don't have much to offer in terms of support. I will continue to look around and will come back as I do learn new things.
