RE: Econnect to Test and Production

I know I have personally heard a similar request a couple times in the past.  I would recommend that you enter that as a Product Suggestion for the Product Group to consider for a future release of Dynamics GP/eConnect:

Looking at the '90077' documentation you mentioned, it is fixed in Dynamics GP 2018 R2 that released 10/1/2018.

How do you VOID/DELETE an EFT Payment that is in WORK status?   I have deleted that Batch, but the payment is still showing in the Transaction by Vendor with a WORK status.   This was an EFT payment and I cannot locate it in any other areas except Transaction by Vendor.

RE: How to remove a Payable Transaction in WORK status?

Found out that I can't delete them from this window.  I had to click on the blue link inside this window called, "Voucher/Payment Number" and then I was able to delete the batch.

All inquiry windows are query only. You are not allowed to delete from this window. You can use this window to find in which batches the transactions reside and then delete those batches. Or using transaction entry delete individual transactions.

When I look in the Payables Transaction Inquiry I see 2 lines that say WORK.  I need to remove these, how can do this?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

You do not make changes to the path in these files. Fire up IM and click on the Options button. You will be prompted for the path.

A client has sent Forecaster jobs to the Job Queue, but the Queue doesn't exist in the Sql Server Agent.

How can I create a Job Queue if Forecaster has already been installed?

Thanks.

RE: Changing Account Format

Hi GPS12

This is going to depend on how your account framework has been setup.

Go to Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > company > account format

Here you will see what the system was initially setup for the maximum number of segments and the maximum account length.

Next check how your 3 segments were setup.

If your maximum length for segment 2 was setup as 3 then you are out of luck for an easy fix.

If it was setup with say a maximum length of 5 then you can increase this to 4.

You can leave the existing accounts with 3 characters if you wish with the 4th being a blank.  I prefer to fill in all spaces so that there is a number in each position.  You can use the PSTL account change for this.

Now if the segments are at their maximum, you will need to purchase the account reformatter from CRG group.  https://crgroup.com/

This product works well to enlarge the account framework.

Before you do any changes I strongly recommend that you try this out in a test company first to ensure things work as expected.

Further to Richard's comment, for changes like this, right click and select Run as Administrator to be sure that this change saves correctly.

I'm curious... when you click Help>>About on the users Integration Manager, is the Current Integration Manager Database value the same as the Default Integration Manager Database value which is found under Tools>>Options?  If they are different then the one found under Help>>About will override the other location.

INtegration Manager change database but keeps default integrations

I'm pulling my hair out.

My client has a created a test environnemetn with GP 2018 and integration manager 18.  We've replaced the integration manager database with a copy of production.  somehow, my client is still seeing the default list of integrations instead of his own.

We've copied again with a different name, changed the database from the Tools menu.  Still the same thing.  we changed the path in the IMUser_Data.xml, we changed the path in the .ini file as well.

It is still listing the default integrations.  I'm at a loss here.

GP Home Page - Microsoft Edge

My client is on GP2015 and for the longest time they've had Quick Links to their SQL Reporting Service reports.  Now one user has updated to Windows 10 and the links are trying to open in Edge instead of IE.  The links will open if entered directly in Edge, but it's not opening automatically when initiated from the home page quick link.

That said is there a way to get the links to open automatically in Edge when initiated from the home page.  If not, is there a way to get Quick Links to default to IE instead of Edge.  Please advise.  Look forward to a reply.

Yes, you need to go to Tools->Setup->System->Alternate Forms and Reports and grant access to the modified report.

I modified the GL detailed report in Report Writer but it still does not show the modified version when I run the reports.

Is there something else that I need to do in addition to adding the relevant fields to the layout and saving it?
