I am trying to find a download source for GP 2010 RTM, but so far have struck out. The earliest version i can find available is 11.00.1667. I did find the .1307 patch, but I still need the RTM download.
Does someone know where I can get it?

Sean,
GP 2010 Product Releases are still available at the same site that Windy provided above:
mbs.microsoft.com/.../mdgp2010_release_download
Once there go the Downloads section, find the row that corresponds to your desired language and click Previous Product Downloads. This will open a PDF where you can find the RTM download link.
Mike,
Tim's is the only add-in that I'm aware of that is compatible with the newer versions of Visual Studio. Since those weren't developed by Microsoft you'll want to reach out to Tim to see if he has any solutions for you. I'm pretty sure he frequents this forum, so he may be able to weigh in here as well.
I have a user that has a weird issue. Security is configured the same as other staff & collectors. They can add Notes via the Collections Management Main Window, but cannot see any of them.
I have confirmed there are no filters for visibility. The notes grid is just entirely blank (besides the alternating colored rows/columns).
Thank you both.
I am noticing a difference between servers..
Left image is GP in our New Azure Servers. It is not pulling the Modified reports.
Right image is our current/old Servers. I see the modified selections.
I have noticed when reassigning the settings, they save for a few days, something happens and everything goes haywire.
So, i located Dynamics.set file for both servers. I do notice that the new server that is giving us grief, is showing up with an unknown application.
Do I need to delete the below file on the new server and copy over DYNAMICS.SET file?
The unknown application means the OS does not know what application to use to read it. I often set mine to NotePad so I do not get prompted all the time. You don't have profiles that get confused and forget where the DYNAMICS.SET file is located do you? "C\MyApps\Microsoft Dynamics\GP2016\Dynamics.exe" Dynamics.set should be the property of your GP icon. Please provide how yours reads.
Richard commented on something in another post - should try to run CHECK LINKS and or RECONCILE - however we have done this and it is not making any difference.
I have now I believe identified all the PO - RCT lines that we need to address. We have determined that the real issue is showing up where the RCT line related to the INVOICE is showing in the tables with a status of 0 (zero) (POP10500) and from what I can determine that is not a valid entry. Those RCT lines are also not found in to have QTYMACTCH ( POP10500) they also show an APPTYPE of 3 and POPTYPE of 2 ( POP10500)
So my question - we believe that these are all wrong - when you look them up - you see as shown above - a blank DOCTYPE in the Inquiry screen - therefore can not be selected in the system.
My question is ( and yes I am working on a TEST system ) can I simply delete the records from the POP10500 and then run CHECK LINKS - should that fix the issue?
Oh geesh. After I changed my APP selection, to notepad (looked a bit different on new server), the file now opens up.
Both files are located at C:\GP2013 (one old and new servers)
Old server, my SET file name is "DYNAMICS.SET"
New server, my SET file name is "DYNAMICS"
So, I tried to rename the DYNAMICS file to DYNAMICS.SET on the new server, and when I launch GP, I get "This launch file is invalid". GP does launch when I change it back to "DYNAMICS", however the modified settings are still missing.
When I close GP, I am getting "Unhandled object exception: The parameter is incorrect".
Do you have View File Extensions turned off? There will be several files with the base name of DYNAMICS. You need the one called DYNAMICS.SET.
Mike, thanks !
I will wait and hope Tim will see this post and respond.
Hi,
We have a client running on Dynamics GP 2010 and would like to send statements by email automatically. The client have MS Office 365 as per license and I have found out that this version is not compatible with GP 2010.
Is there a work around to send statements by email please? Since the client does not have an older license of MS Office.
Thank you so much for your help.

Has anyone been successful inside GP making a modification to allow Enter/Match in the Purchasing Module by receipt number? Our company would like modify the Select Purchase Order Items window to create a PO Invoice based on one, or many, PO Receipt lines that have not been previously invoiced. This is not currently one of the options in this window.
The ideal would be to look up by vendor by receipt number, and then auto-invoice once we verify the correct line items appear.
Our company has many lengthy POs of hundreds of line items where the vendor ships multiple receipts against the same PO items, and then sends multiple invoices to us on a 1to1 basis with these individual receipts. GP groups these receipts on the Enter/Match screens, as if assuming a vendor would group for invoicing purposes. This does not happen with our vendors. Multiple receipts of the same item, therefore multiple invoices of the same item against the same PO.
Our lives would be much improved by an option, or work around, to Auto-Invoice based on upon GP RECEIPT NUMBER.
This is really interesting. It looks like there is a problem with the search functionality in Visual Studio at the moment.
Watch this video for information: https://youtu.be/L5A0eJqinC8
From extension search, select online, then search for "Dynamics GP", page through all the results, then go back to page one of the results, see how the extension suddenly then appears again!
I'll get on to the Visual Studio marketplace team about this, in the meantime, that is a work around.
I've updated my blog post with this work around too.

Dear All ,
I am getting issue while modifying originating amounts . Its not reflecting in deferred profile amount . The amount show only that I deferred first time.
The originating amount is converted to functional amount is correct .. But I went to additional>>deferral profile >> amount shows old amount !!
Somebody please help ….
You probably have file extensions hidden by default on that server so by naming it to DYNAMICS.SET you actually renamed it to DYNAMICS.SET.SET
As for the general issue, it feels like the dictionaries between these two servers are out of sync with each other.
Are the paths for the reports dictionary pointing to the same file?
In DYNAMICS.SET, I'm guessing these are local copies on the two servers, it it that after updating the reports on one server the dictionary has not been copied with those changes to the other server?

Steve, feel free to contact me if you get stuck.
Tim.
During the presentations I made at GPUG Summit in Phoenix (exhausting but satisfying!) I admitted that I had never installed GP. I find that it would be very useful for me to go through the exercise... but I'm uncertain how to proceed.
That is, when I started my new position at GLC Minerals, the laptop assigned to me had GP 2016 R2 installed, and it points to our company databases on a SQL Server (2016).
What I would like to do is to set up a GP test environment on my laptop. I have SQL Server installed already on my laptop (2016 & 2017), and I have the process to make a copy of our production databases onto a test server... but the missing piece is how to utilize the existing installation of GP 2016 R2 to point to the local installation of the GP databases.
Could someone point me to an on-line resource that explains how to expand the reach of an existing installation of GP to encompass additional SQL servers? I hope soon to be able to install GP 2018 R2 as a test environment, too... but that can wait.
Thank you very much,
Steve Erbach
