We're seeing an error when attempting to run a PO report from a SmartList in Purchasing. The error statement is "C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\7\file.xlsx returned 29". We are running Dynamics GP in a Citrix Xen environment. Please advise if anybody has seen this error and what possible root cause it might have.
Hi Rosemary,
Thank you for the insights.
Unless I am missing something that is unique to your internal workflow something is wonky (technical term ;) ) with the transaction. One of the first things I noticed in the screenshot is that while each line item has a price the order subtotal and total are both zero.
How did the 2007 archiving go?
Regards,
Kirk
Hi Kevin,
The screenshots you tried to post didn't come through. Could you post them again?

Got the following error messages when tried to exit GP2015:
Also got the followings when tried to print detailed account activities from Financial detail inquiry:
Any idea what caused that? Thanks a lot!
Like many businesses, we sell products to re-sellers. We periodically receive payments from them by a NET check that deducts returns (RMAs) from the total sales. To give an example, let us say the NET amount is $10k with a detail of one invoice at $11k and one (not approved) charge-back for $1k. Now we can issue a cash receipt to the invoice of $11k and generate the credit memo in the system. However, we are not able to apply the charge-back of $1k (which is shown deducted as a line item in the check detail) to make a correction to the credit memo. We are only able to wash an invoice out with an credit note. Usually the charge-backs are not approved and we have to always investigate our trial balance with the check number to have accurate balances. Any ideas greatly appreciated?
Great Beat thats really good information.
Thanks Babu. But the user need the same invoice number since it is already given to customer.
Thank you for the reply. I have account numbers with descriptions example, account # 001-6000-6145-00, description, MKT - Salesperson #1 Travel. I would like to change the description. I also have some accounts I would like to completely delete.
I am trying to add a blank line after the line item comments specifically on the Purchase Order. Not having any luck and realized that the line item comments are dynamic so that doesn't help. So I was trying to add a line above a line item (ie where the item number and description are) and I can't seem to make it stick. I have added the space on the report writer and reimported the xml and a whole bunch of other useless tries. Does anyone know how to add a blank line just to make space between line items. Thanks.
Hi Matt,
Thank you for helping on this. On question 1, I tried it and all looked good, but then received an error code:
[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server] Cannot find the object "RM00102" because it does not exit or you do not have permissions.
How can we change the permissions or is there a different way to combine two Customer's ID in Sales module?
What are the ramifications to a tax year never being closed?
For account descriptions, you should just be able to go under the Financial module and look up the account under Cards >> Account and change the description there.
For the error you are receiving, did you run the modifier through PSTL or Utilities. That's strange that you got that error since RM00102 is the Customer Address table.
I ran the modifier through Utilities.
Is there an actual Address ID set up for the customer you are trying to modify? Have you done any transactions for this customer?
Yes, there is an address and also transactions to this customer I am trying to modify.
This may be due to your user not having administrative privileges to SQL. The 'sa' user would inherently have this.
This is what the help menu says on that window: "You must be logged in as user with SQL Server administrative privileges to combine or modify customer IDs. Typically, this will be the “sa” user."
Due to the nature of what this tool is doing, that's why it is requiring such high level of rights and why I suggested doing a back up first as well.
This sounds potentially like a Reports.dic issue. Do you know if there were any errors when your modified reports were upgraded (hopefully they were upgraded). Are you using the modified version of that report?
You can check by going to Administration >> Setup >> System >> Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports, choose the ID that is assigned to your user (found in User Security), choose the type as Reports and Series as Financial. Is there anything listed in there for GL Detail Inquiry? If so, try switching it to the unmodified version and printing.
We recently upgraded to GP 2015. Does anyone know why we are getting the following error messages when try to print account details from inquiry>financial>detail to the screen:
Key'GL_YTD_TRX_ALL_View_Key5' not found on report.
Problem starting up report.
Thanks!
Thank you Cindy for the information.
