What happens when you run Mass Apply Credit Docs (Apply All RM Docs window)? Our AR department is complaining that one of our companies is taking over an hour for Auto Apply Credit Docs to process. It’s my understanding they download a credit card batch each morning, post, and then run this process. They have indicated that it’s typically less than 100 payments. Since I was not familiar with the auto apply process, I had them show me and the first thing I noticed is that they are not using any date ranges. My inclination is that if I downloaded and posted cash receipts on 2/19/2016, I should run the auto-apply using that date range. I tested this and it took less than 1 minute to process.
Am I correct in my theory that if they do not select a range, it’s looking at ALL open credit documents? It does not appear that our month end process includes Paid Transaction Removal. Would this by why there are 200K records in the RM20201 and why the unfiltered range is causing the process to take so long to complete?
