User auto-approve under a limit

Hi

I have users that have an approved amount that doesn't need to be approved by anyone else.

How would I configure my workflow to make it work ?

I tried a step in the workflow that if the requested by and document amount is lower than amount approved to send to the user itself. In the history I see the step is working but sending it to the manager set in the workflow instead.
